Abstract
Rapi Abqari (521200042): Correlation between Self-Concept and Englis h
Achievement to the Students of SMAN 3 Singkawang in the Academic Year of
2015/2016.
This research was aimed to find out the correlation between self-concept and
English achievement. This research was conducted through correlational design.
The sample of this research was the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Singkawang
in the academic year of 2015/2016. Simple random sampling was used to choose
the sample.
This research used indirect communication as the technique of data
collection. The tools of data collection were questionnaire and Englis h
achievement. Then, the data analysis used in this research was descriptive analysis.
To find out the relationship between self-concept and English achievement, this
research used Pearson Product Moment to analyze the correlation between self-concept and English achievement
