Abstract

This research aimed to investigate how Canva can improve the writing skill of the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap in the academic year of 2022/2023. The researcher used the Classroom Action Research method, with the technique of data collection observation technique and measurement technique. Data collection tools used in this research included observation techniques, field notes, and writing tests. The researcher utilized a scoring rubric consisting of four aspects of writing to determine students' writing ability. The data from the students' writing test were analysed using quantitative data analysis and appropriate statistical techniques. The subjects of this study were eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap. The results of the qualitative data analysis suggest

Based on the students' average scores, it was observed that the writing test cycle 1 scored 54.35 and the writing test cycle 2 scored 67.45.
