This study described the implementation of professional leadership, shared vision, and goals in 8 schools in West Kalimantan. Variations in implementation based on school level and area of origin were also analyzed. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and employs Observation and Interview Methods to collect data, where Observation Non – Participant, and Observation Participant are used into examine schools Implementation. Also Interview are used to
gain more detailed data on this Study. Data analysis involves Thematic Analysis and Cross-case Analysis to examine the implementation of Professional Leadership and Shared Vision and Goals in 8 schools in West Kalimantan Regency, where thematic analysis is to find out what are the
implementation are bringing out by principals, and cross – case analysis is to find out what are the variation beetween schools implementation. The findings reveal that principals play a crucial role in the implementation of both variables, principals providing teachers a nurturing support, also fullfill teacher commitment to school and as teachers are given the opportunity to make important decisions and support each other, often teacher talking about a practice to impove teacher professionalism. Therefore teahcer talking about how to fullfill students needs in classroom and learning. However, there are significant differences between junior high schools, where teachers are not always involved in decision-making except for school policy decisions, and senior high schools, where some schools conduct closed discussions focusing only on teachers of certain majors or subjects.
