Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the level of self-confidence, the learning achievement and to describe the influence of students' self-confidence toward their learning achievement of eleventh grade student at SMAN 1 Subah.
This study was a quantitative study that seeks to find out how the influence of students' self-confidence on their learning achievement by taking a sample of 23 respondents. Data collection techniques were used direct communication
techniques in the form of questionnaires and documents. Questionnaires were used to determine students' self-confidence while documents were used to obtain data related to learning achievement. For testing the instrument the researcher used the Validity test, and Reliability using SPSS version 16 for window. As for the data analysis technique used simple linear regression method with t test.
The results showed that there was a positive or significant effect between students' self confidence in their learning achievement as indicated by t observed = 1.81 and t table = 1.71 then t observed > t table. While the R Square value of 0.130 means that the independent variable self-confidence (X) was able to explain the dependent variable learning achievement (Y) by 13% while the remaining 87% was influenced by other variables outside the study.
