Abstract

Research design is a design that followed by the researcher for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data (Creswell, 2012). Therefore, this research used qualitative research with the type of research Multicase study. Multicast studies
emphasize more on a single case unit and focus more on one particular object that is studied as a case ( Ary, 2014). Multicase study should always make clear which information is factual description and which is inference or the opinion of the researcher. The strengths of case studies are Provides detailed (rich qualitative information and Provides insight. multicase study is research on the status of
research subjects with respect to a specific or distinctive phase of the whole personality. research subjects can be individuals, groups, institutions, or communities. The aim is to provide a detailed description of the background,
characteristics and characteristics that are typical of the case, or the status of the individual, which then from the characteristics above was made into a general matter.
The findings of this study present student achievement and the effectiveness of parents of students at SMP 2 Bunut Hulu and MI Sabillal Muhtadin Bunut Hulu in helping children study at home and also to determine the achievements and effectiveness of students at SMPN 2 Bunut Hulu and MI
Sabillal Muhtadin Bunut Hulu. Researchers analyzed the data based on learning strategies related to the theories of learning strategies in chapter two. The subjects of this study were students at SMPN 2 Bunut MI Sabillal Muhtadin Bunut Hulu, totaling 3 students from SMPN 2 Bunut Hulu and 3 students from MI Sabillal Muhtadin Bunut Hulu and their respective parents to obtain information about the data. Based on the results and discussion of research supported by data that has been carried out, it can be concluded that in general parental intervention on children studying at home and collaboration between parents and teachers is very
important in improving student achievement at home and school. There are also various models of parental intervention, namely Protector Model, Expert Model,
Transmission Model, Curriculum Enrichment Model, Consumer Model, and Partnership Model parents also use various models so that their children quickly understand their difficulties in learning. This shows the need for parental intervention in helping and guiding children to study at home and improve
children''s achievement at school.
